On the 1st August 2012 Vanguard reduced fees for seven of its wholesale investment trusts.
Fund growth (for reasons noted above) and a commitment to maintaining low costs saw investors benefit through a fee reduction which has resulted in most Vanguard funds moving to about one fifth of the average Australian managed fund fee for comparable asset classes.
For example the Vanguard Australian Shares Index Fund investment fee has reduced 47% (from 0.34% to 0.18% p/a), which is a saving for investors of $160 p/a for every $100,000 invested.
